Mineral Fusion Lotion
I want to share with you my absolute favorite body lotion, Mineral Fusion. This lotion is thick and creamy, but soaks into your skin quickly. It contains no parabens so it is healthy for your skin (unlike most of the leading lotions (Vasoline, Bath & Body Works, etc.). Treat yourself to wonderful, smooth skin! You can get it at Whole Foods/Whole Body. Unfortunately, for the Arkansians, they do not sell it in our wonderful state, but you can order it online. :)
A Heathier YOU
Ok, I have been pretty bad about blogging (except to showcase my brag book of wedding pics) so I thought I needed to start blogging about something I'm passionate about that other people NEED to know about!! So here it is, the new direction of the blog: HEALTHY LIVING. Ed has really gotten me focused and addicted to trying to eat better, live longer and use products that do not contain hazardous chemicals, toxins, etc. I am "that girl" that checks ingredient labels before I buy anything. So, let me do the research and give you the results! The first product you MUST TRY is Say Yes To Carrots Shampoo/Conditioner (It's B1G1 half at Walgreens right now).
There was LOTS of trial and error before this great find! It smells amazing, lathers well and makes your hair feel amazing! I am really picky about my hair and was using a VERY expensive salon brand before I saw how horrible the ingredients were. Most shampoos contain parabens and sulfates that can cause breast cancer and are damaging to your skin. If you just love your shampoo and don't want to give it up, search for it here. It will rate beauty products on a scale of 1-10 (10 being most hazardous) so you can see how much damage you are doing to your beautiful self. Or, pick this product up next time you are at Walgreens becuase its not very expensive and you owe it to yourself!
Disclaimer: I am in no way an expert on health. I'm eating a supreme personal pizza as I write this. Baby steps. Baby steps.

Honeymoon Finale
So, I lied. I just had to share a few more pictures. One morning it rained for about 10 minutes and produced a double rainbow. "A Double Rainbow! What does that meean?" (apparently from YouTube). It just looked like it came straight out of the water and went over the whole island.
Here is a pic of our overwater bungalow deck.
Sweet Sunrise
This is the last post I'll make of the honeymoon, but no one who sees God's creation at its finest should ever keep it a secret! One morning, we decided to go watch the sunrise (at 5:45 am!). It comes up over the top of the island next to ours so we went to the very top and camped out. It just happened to be a cloudy morning so it took the Sun a good 45 minutes to completely show its face. We waited and clearly it was worth it. What a breathtaking view!! Enjoy!!
Helmet Dive
We didn't do too many structured activities because they took so much of the day. One day we did a spa treatment and the one day we did the Helmet Dive! What a cool experience! They basically drop you down to the bottom of the ocean with a space helmet on. It is attached to an oxygen cable so you can breathe, and you just walk around and look at whatever fish happen to swim by! You go out in groups of eight and we just happened to get grouped with Cindy McCain (Sen. John McCain's wife) and their children/friends. They were so much fun! It turned out that Cindy knew Ed's dad so we all just got to talking and having a big time! I guess I'm one of the few that can say I walked around the ocean floor with the McCains! ;) Here we all are in the boat:
And here we are posing for the underwater cam:
Honeymoon Introduction
Ed and I just recently got back from our honeymoon trip to Bora Bora. It will take several posts to show you all the pictures and highlights that I want to so get ready!!! One, it takes FOREVER to get there, but clearly from the pictures, it's worth it! The pictures don't even do justice to how breathtaking it was in person. We had a blast! We stayed one night in Tahita, then two nights in a hilltop villa, which was a bungalo that overlooked the whole island and ocean. The view from there was amazing! Then, we stayed a few nights in an overwater bungalow that had glass floors, end tables, etc. where you could see straight down to the ocean. So cool! We really enjoyed laying out, swimming, relaxing, etc. and just actually getting to be in the same place together since we don't live in the same state! So this first picture is us laying out at the hotel (you can see the overwater bungalos in the background).
This is another view from the resort.
The view from our hilltop villa room.
A pic of us checking in to the hotel. They seat you with passion fruit juice and a cold wash cloth while you wait!

Let It Snow!
As my luck would have it, Northwest Arkansas has seen its worst winter in history (that might be a slight exxageration) with several large snow storms and lots of ice. We got hit with the latest storm sometime around 1:30 am and already have accumulated over 20" of snow. I think that is about all we are going to get today, but isn't that enough? Here are a few pictures of the beautiful snow and Mac trying to figure out how to use the facilities. I bet I couldn't even get my car out of the garage if I tried! I hope you are all safe and warm wherever you are. Mac and I are cuddled up working from the couch!

36 DAYS!!
It is hard to believe that in 36 days I'll be married. Married to a man who is perfect for me in every way. God has blessed us with a wonderful, fun, healthy relationship and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us! Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts leading up to this BIG, special day in our lives.
And for those of you who are single...who think it's impossible that you will meet and marry the man of your dreams before you are 50 (HA)...just wait. God is faithful and if you seek Him, He will give you the desires of your heart.

I've Gone Granola!
Today was a monumental day. I joined the Arkansas Natural Foods Co-op!! Yes, that's right. Now I can buy organic foods, support local farmers (my grandfather would be proud) and get to be an owner with 6,000 other hippies!! :) It feels good to be green.

I Have Arrived!
Just wanted to send a quick update to let you all know I've arrived in AR safely and finally have internet at home! :) Here are a few pics of our new place:

I couldn't fit all the pics on here but just know my favorite parts are the jacuzi tub and the huge walk in closet with built in shelves!!! Its just perfect!! We still haven't bought couches and a few other necessities, but we plan to shop when Ed makes his first visit...this weekend (I can't wait!!)! I'm also loving having a king bed. Mac and I can spread out and still not touch!
Work has been great. My first week flew by in a whirlwind. It is really fast paced, but I'm having a blast. I really think I will enjoy being in the hospital setting and getting to see first hand why we do what we do. It's very rewarding, not to mention I'm learning a ton!
I couldn't have made the move without the help of mom and Bob so a HUGE shout out to them for their help in getting me loaded, moved and unpacked! It was nice having them here for my first weekend in AR!
More to come.......off to sleep. I have 8 hours of orientation tomorrow. Yikes!

I'm a CPA!!!!
I just can't even begin to comprehend all the amazing things that are happening in my life right now. First, I got a promotion at work that is moving me to Arkansas. Then I got engaged. Then I found out on the same day that we got an offer on the house and that I PASSED MY EXAM!!!
After 5 long years of studying, it is finally coming to an end.....sort of. Now I have to pass an ethics exam and pay some more money HA before they will give me the license. However, the hard part is over and I couldn't be more relieved!!!! Once again, God is GOOD!
Thanks to everyone who supported me and prayed for me over the past few years as I studied, passed, failed, laughed, cried, stressed, etc. It was all so worth it! Now I have those three little HARD earned letters after my name.
Megan Walker, CPA (almost) ;)

House is SOLD!
We received an offer on the house after only being on the market two weeks (obviously we haven't closed yet so anything can still happen)!! God is amazing and must really want us to move to Arkansas! ;) It is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, but it also means this is getting so real. I can't believe that in 2 weeks I will live in Arkansas! Crazy!!!

I'm Engaged!!
Ed and I got engaged Friday before our trip to Chicago! I had no idea because he kept saying he hadn't talked to my dad yet. Well, he lied. HA So Friday we met at my house at 4pm to go to the airport. When I got out of the car, I heard a low, deep voice say, "Ma'am, I'm with homeland security and I have someone who needs to speak with you. Please come with me." I turned around and there was a huge security guard with a black suit, bald head and black sun glasses and he motioned me toward the white stretch HUMMER in the street in front of my house....I was freaked out. Then he opened the door and Ed was on his knee with the ring!!! It was georgous!!! I was totally in my Arkansas t-shirt from work. Not looking good. But it was super special because he caught me off guard and I had no idea!!!!! So we rode to the airport in the limo and had celebration drinks at Tootsies before our flight!

Our trip to Chicago was a blast! The hotel was AWESOME and overlooked the shops on Michigan Avenue and the water! Saturday we shopped, took a segway tour (most fun, EVER!) and then had dinner at MK. They had printed special menus that said congratulations on your engagement. We had a wonderful dinner and then they brought us dessert with congratulations written in chocolate and champagne! Then we went out and met up with some friends for drinks! The next day we went on a shopping spree to try to find my wedding shoes but no one had my size!
Overall, BEST WEEKEND EVER!!! :) Everything about it was perfect and just confirmed I'm the luckiest woman alive!!

National College Apparel Day
Every year to kick off football season our office lets us wear college apparel. As usual, I woke up this morning and slipped into my Kentucky Wildcats t-shirt...GO CATS!! But much to my surprise, I walked into my office and found an Arkansas Razorbacks t-shirt hanging over my desk chair. I just knew "the girls" were up to this and wanted to break me in for my upcoming move to "the Natural State", but then they came out of their offices and they were wearing them, too!!! Almost everyone in my dept had Arkansas shirts on and they said, "If Megan is moving to Arkansas then we are team Arkansas"! How precious! I almost cried!! It's been such a fun day "pretending" we are all Razorback fans and snorting around the office. Soui!
*Disclaimer: No one in my office is ACTUALLY a Razorback fan and I appreciate them sacrificing their team pride to make me feel special (plus it cut down on the massive amounts of tacky orange)!

New Adventure in Arkansas
Hi friends! I'm sorry I haven't written in a while but life is upside down! I just finished my CPA exam (please keep your fingers crossed that I'm done!), got a new job with my same company that is moving me to Arkansas in October and I have to sell my house, find a new house, etc. I am really excited about the opportunity (my first day there is Oct 18th). I will be the controller of a 3 hospital market and am looking forward to the challenge!!
I went to Arkansas two weekends ago to interview. There is one exit that is sort of like a city with restaurants, shopping, etc. They have Abuelos (upscale mexican)so we'll be going there when you visit! I'm pretty sure I'll live off that exit and never leave that exit because the further I drove away from that, the less oxygen I was getting in my lungs HA. I found a few nice condo places that looked "Nashville-ish" but then there would be a cow field next to it. Oh brother! The people are SUPER nice there, but some have those weird ponytail braids down to their butts. We're gonna have to do something about that! I visited a church which was super cool and the music was great....but it was no Cross Point. I'll miss that ALOT.
Please pray for me as I go through this transition. I'll have one weekend to go out and nail down my living situation, etc. and I'm going to be really busy as soon as I get there!
I would love to get together with you before I leave so please call me and let's grab dinner/coffee!!!

Issues
Clearly I'm having blog issues. I guess my blog decided to look like my life. Dark. Drab. Tired. For real. All I do lately is work and study so maybe my blog is tired, too. Hopefully I can get this problem resolved but it won't be until after my test, Saturday. Then I get my life back. Hallelujah! More to come....and hopefully a new blog background....anyone who loves to create beautiful blogs, feel free to comment right now with your contact info.

Less than $1.25 a day will buy you.......
....the joy in knowing you TOUCHED a young child's life. I am blessed to be the sponsor of Sergio David Rodas in Honduras. He is 11 years old and is precious! His birthday was in March so I sent extra money that month so they could buy him something as a gift. I will admit, I was a little skeptical that the money wouldn't reach him in the way of a wrapped toy with a bow but I had hope. It wasn't until yesterday when I received this letter that I realized that hope is all it takes to change the world! Here is the translation from Spanish:
Hello my dear sponsor, Megan Walker. How are you? I hope to God that you are well. I am really happy and grateful to God and to you for blessing my life. It made me really happy to receive the football, the 2 t-shirts and socks. Thank you. May God bless your life more and more. I always play with my little brother Cesar. I thank God for allowing me to be part of the student center. I ask that you pray for me and my family always. Receive many kisses and hugs from my part. I bid you farewell with much love and affection. I also send you a photo of me receiving the gift at the project. God bless you. -Sergio

Um, can you say PRECIOUS?!!?
